response about the satellite dishes…. if our sat dishes are receiving a signal from space, why not point them up, and why does the installer need a compass to point them a certain direction….

OUR satellite dishes are NOT receiving signals from space. They are pointed towardother transmitters, usually placed on tall radio towers, that are receiving a signal from a very larger and powerful dish somewhere that us actually receiving a signal from a satellite. OUR dishes are only receiving a relayed message. They are NOWHERE near powerful enough to communicate with space satellites.
