The assassination of Olof Palme, the Prime Minister of Sweden, took place on Friday, 28 February, 1986, in Stockholm, Sweden, at 23:21 hours Central European Time (22:21 UTC). Palme was fatally wounded by gunshots while walking home from a cinema with his wife Lisbet Palme on the central Stockholm street Sveavägen. The couple did not have bodyguards at the time.
The case is still unsolved and a number of theories as to who carried out the murder have been proposed. Christer Pettersson, a substance abuser who previously had been convicted of manslaughter, was convicted of the murder in 1988 after having been identified as the killer by Palme’s wife. However, on appeal to Svea Court of Appeal he was acquitted. Pettersson died in 2004, legally declared not guilty of the Palme assassination.

I don’t have any theory here except to say there have been a whole lot of attempts to pin this on Apartheid South Africa. A quick internet search will even reveal names e.g. Craig Williamson, Anthony White etc. Would any contributors to this blog kindly explain how the old SA govt, which was always portrayed as being a bit dense and clumsy, somehow managed to carry off the crime of the century, outsmarting the most expensive murder investigation in Swedish history. Not only that an exhaustive Truth Commission failed to obtain any new information.

Hardly the crime of the century to shoot down an unarmed man with no protection. All the assassin had to do was run round a corner, be picked up by a waiting accomplice and rushed to Arlanda airport. Within 3 hours, while a shocked murder squad was being assembled, Mr. Murderer could have been in Paris, London, Rome or even Malmo! The South Africans may have been portrayed as fumble-fisted but were still often effective, though it does not have to have been them.Dry run theory anyone?

I personally knew of the assasination the 4pm UK time on night it happened, although I was not told who it was. I have recently gone to Interpol with my knowledge, having previously been afraid to…. I have read the conspiracy theories and I can tell you all -- that the person who told me, was my biological father, a Freemason. This is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Did Interpol do anything? Doubt it, but he knew, he knew it was going to happen and who it was…. WTF

I find it very strange that just round the corner on Kungsgatan was a police patrol car, and it took it about 30 minutes to get to the scene of Olof Palmers murder, a distance of about 300 meters. Inside job ? I think so anyway.

Martyr
Think JFK & MLK:
Perhaps they were trying to make a martyr out of him.
Perhaps gun control is not as strict in Sweden as they’d like it.
Perhaps Palme was not as effective in pushing Marxist laws as they wanted.
Like JFK, it was his [HIS] govt that investigated the murder.
BTW why was Christer Pettersson, acquitted AFTER he was convicted [and] identified as the killer by Palme’s wife??? Non of these sites explain that.
