I can’t believe people actually fall for this shit. If there was a globally powerful secret society that was going to take over the world, they would have used that power a long time ago and taken it over already. This is just stupid nonsense preying on the fears of the gullible. The other reason this stuff gets believed is that if people feel they have some kind of secret inside knowledge about a huge global conspiracy, it gives them a feeling of importance that they might not otherwise have.
