If the war was about oil, how come it keeps breaking records on a dollar basis per barrel? If the war was about oil, how come gas prices are the highest ever when taking inflation into account.
No, this is more about a Democratic controlled congress who promised that they would do something about high oil and gas prices, but instead has chosen to deny appointments to the bench, brought up talk of impeachment over and over and over again for false charges, and ‘investigated’ or held hearings to figure out why oil/gas is so high.
Drill here, drill now, pay less. Build more nuclear power plants, build more oil refineries, relax the crazy envrionmental laws the prevent any kind of investment in our infrastructure. And, elect Republicans, as they are the only ones who will really get anything done. Think the Democrats are going to talk about high oil/gas prices between now and the election? no, because they know that would be political suicide. Let’s face it the Democrats own ‘high prices’. Blame the oil companies for high prices? Oh yeah, they get 9 cents per gallon of gas, taxes make up 40-50 cents per gallon of gas depending on the state.
But what do I know, I’m just a wacky conservative.

Get a grip buddy boy. CONGRESS has the real power in government with the power of the purse strings and the power to create laws. If they can’t do anything with that power – don’t try and blame W. Just ’cause you hate a person as well as HATE our country – let’s use a little rationale and logic here. I have yet to meet a Democrat that can do either, but lets give it a try.
Oil companies – not sure why you hate them so, they provide a whole lot of products for a whole lot of people. And how much did they spend to make that profit (which is about 7% profit margin). NOW let’s look at Google – they make about 80% profit margin – why don’t you bitch about them??? OH right you were educated in a government school and don’t have the capacity for logical thought. Fair enough.
And for a corrupt government, you really should dig for the truth about the clinton’s – that is the greatest example of a corrupt adminastration. OH Right again, you are a liberal/fascist/pink-o-commnie/progressive liberal and can’t think for yourself.

The us government is nothing but a giant setup… When something goes wrong that they dont know how to fix they lie… If the government was actually over in Iraq for more than oil we would have been out by now… The government keeps changing wat their doing so they’ll keep us guessing… The only problem with that is were starting to figure them out… If we truly want to kno sumthing we have but to petition… If they refuse then that is denying the average citizen our rights… It’s time that the government comes clean about working on the corner of every situation…

Not oil. If anything Bush started the war because of the New World Order his dad talked about. And not the “New World Order” that these conspiracy theorists talk about. I mean, I believe Bush W. did it because he thought Saddam was an evil dictator and that if Iraq were a democracy, it’ll be a start for creating stability in that region of the world.
Now personally, I think Bush went about it all the wrong way. I think it was a mistake. But we’ll see if it was or wasn’t in the long run. I do think Bush really thought was was doing good for the world though. Whether we agree or not. I don’t think the man had evil intentions that a lot of people believe. I just think he went about things the wrong way.
As far as oil goes, where is it? The war didn’t do anything to help fix or prevent the damn gas crisis we are in now. Another false propaganda theory, from people who hated Bush for whatever reason or against the war for whatever reason. By now we’d be benefiting from it or we’d be talking about how “Iraq’s oil could help us in this tough time.” But we don’t see or hear any of that. Sure. The war is still going on but I think the oil thing would be more in place for us to use by now.
Now did Bush really know that Iraq didn’t have the weapons of mass destruction? Good question! That could determine his evilness on the evil scale.

In 10 sentences or less…
OPEC is an international cartel made up of 12 countries (6 middle-eastern, 4 African, and 2 South American) and controls about 2/3 of the world’s oil.
The chosen currency of OPEC has traditionally been the US dollar and amounts to a large portion of US dollars in circulation (basically, the currency is in circulation strictly to accommodate the oil trade and can’t be successfully backed by other US assets).
In the years preceding the war, OPEC began voting to switch trade currency to another currency, which would leave trillions of dollars held by other countries for oil worthless.
Nearly all of the Muslim OPEC countries voted for the immediate shift but lacked the majority vote until Venezuela decided to tip the vote.
By overtaking Iraq, which was a threat in many other ways, and which was strategically positioned in the heart of the middle east, the US was not only able to greatly diminish Jihadist activities around the world, but also to stop the majority vote needed to shift currencies from the USD to the EURO.
Imagine the insane inflation and anger of the world when it suddenly needed to exchange dollars for euros – the euro would become very expensive (benefitting the European Union) and would drive the value of the dollar into the dirt (causing foreign USD investors to be more than pissed at the US).
Instead of having just the Middle East against us, we’d have China, Asia, Russia, India, etc. because their hard-earned dollars suddenly wouldn’t be able to buy them anything, which would spark another world war against the US.
Switching the dollar would also mean insanely high prices and instant poverty to Americans trying to buy stuff with their worthless dollars.
Besides taking over Iraq and freeing its oppressed people, we also launched an economic attack against OPEC which consisted of buying up oil at an alarming rate (which also drove up the cost of oil) which greatly depleted OPEC’s oil supply.
OPEC basically ran out of oil to sell and had to cut production at about the time the market crashed in the US, which not only caused terrorist countries to run out of funding for terrorist organizations, but caused the US to have an excess oil supply which drove down oil prices in the US.
There, my 10 sentences are up. Now that you understand that, I’ll go ahead and tell you that this is only one aspect of the war, and that GW Bush and cronies are actually the smartest and most advanced military and economic geniuses ever to have held office in the history of our country. Not only is the Jihadist movement mostly crushed, but the world has realized how important the US is to the world economy, a middle-eastern country is now a US ally and has religious and political freedom, OPEC’s power has largely been stripped from them, and less than 10,000 US lives have been lost in a war that has lasted six years.

Saddam was once an important customer of USA, but Kuwait had always more oil than any other nation. The invasion of Kuwait by Iraq was a well maneuvered deliberate conspiracy, Iraq was forced by the NOW bosses to take such steps. Thereafter, a counter move to attack Iraq by the Allied forces, by which the power of Saddam in Middle east & Asia becomes weaker. However, Saddam was eliminated and his entire regime. This gained the US a major control on oil reserves in much of the Middle East. Now even Kuwait bows down to US favors and turns everything to west. This tactic was like a double edged sword the monetary and oil capital of Kuwait in US hands and the Iraqi natural resources in US hand. Further, the fear of $ getting replaced by the euro on oil per barrel is also ruled out. If the oil prices haven’t come down in spite control of oil wells in Iraq , who cares. The NOW bosses have also provoked a new war in Middle East and the same insurgents are now the latest customers to buy those weapons. The US has gained a major strategic control of the governments, resources, land, sea , ports , infrastructure, road construction, banks and most of the business centre’s in Mideast after the Gulf war. It’s a bit more than simply oil. More specifically it’s about securing a pipe line throught the middle east. Which interrestingly enough starts in Afghanastan and is planned to run thought Iran, Iraq and down into Saudi I believe is the final country.
Interresting how just 4 months before 911 the United States lost the contrat for this pipeline when the Afghans awarded it to an Argentinian oil company.

I believe and heard that something crashed over there and someone had the ship and the bodies in his palace . He struck a deal with them like america did in the 40′s for technolgy among other things. America couldnt just go over there and take what he had. So a plan was put in place to wage war on him and take over the country and get what he had at all cost.The oil was a cover story and so was 9/11 when the target couldnt be located. the info is out there, if you do the work the puzzle starts to come into focus

i think that the war is because the “terrorist” want their freedom but our government has control of the iraq gov. and gets oil cheaper but if the gov. was ruled by the people prices for oil would be much more. and if our government helps their gov. we will probably use that against them and get oil cheaper than before.
