Another aspect for you to consider/add, is that whilst the Govt. claim the details will just be used for 'proper' checks etc, did you know that they already sell your details that are on the electoral register? To stop this you have to tick a box on the form to opt for the short-version of the register. A lot of people don't know about this this, and I'm sure the Govt. never bothered to tell us they would be doing this, so who's to stop them doing the same with all our ID info in the future? That's the most concerning thing for me. Hope this helps. hi
