Even if theoretically the terrorists could have hi-jacked 4 planes, and have been able to fly them to their selected targets, how did these 19 people get past the billion dollar air defence system of America? Where was NORAD the million dollar system that can pick out any planes flight number? And where was the fighter jets?

But this lack of defence can be explained without including the need of a conspiracy. It’s still not good for the American government, especially the secretary of defence.

NORAD is designed to pick out enemy planes outside of America, the radar going in a kind of a doughnut shape around the US. This means that if an attack came from within, this utility would be practically useless. Normal radar would also be helpless since the transponders where removed whilst in the air, meaning the security would have had to search through hundreds of of identical bleeps on the radar screens to find the hi-jacked planes.

They did eventually find flight 146, half an hour after the first tower attack, and sent 2 of the 14 fighter jets on standby to intercept the plane. They got there too late, the reason being at the time it was against the law to travel at subsonic speeds above heavily populated areas.

On September the eleventh of September 2001, (9/11) nineteen al-Qaeda terrorists hi-jacked four airplanes from US airports. Two of the planes (flights 11 and 175) crashed into both World Trade Center towers, bringing both structures down. Another of the planes (flight 77) crashed later into the Pentagon, causing extensive damage.

The final plane (terrorist target was speculated to be the White House) was the only craft that didn’t hit it’s final destination on that fateful day. The passengers of flight 93 heard the news of the other plane crashes, they bravely overcame the Hijackers. Yet with no pilot the plane soon crashed into the state of Pennsylvania. Over 3,000 people died that September day, including the people trapped in the buildings, the firefighters/police who went in to save them and the people on the three aircrafts.

Even though this story sounds believable – though tragic, up to a third of Americans believe (poll carried out by the Scripps Survey Research Center at the University of Ohio) that there is something fishy about the scientific facts behind the official 9/11 story stated above.

These 9/11 conspiracy theorists theorize that the government was at least partially to blame, ranging from just knowing about the impending attacks on 9/11, to creating them.

Is America really that desperate to create a New World Order, to destroy the biggest buildings in the world? Or is this conspiracy just a load of codswallop?

The world trade center destruction was caught live on TV for millions to see, yet the conspiracy theorists even go as far to say that this was faked in one way or another.

The most common ‘evidence’ brought forward for foul play is the uniform destruction of the WTC Twin Towers, the pancaking effect. Where the Twin Towers collapse was uniformly flat down. Some conspiracy theorists think this is evidence for a controlled destruction, where much the same technique is used with controlled explosions. This picture shown below is used to prove the existence of explosives:

Yet this can be easily explained.

All skyscrapers are built with an engineering auto destruct sequence in them, so if anything serious happened to the building, it wouldn’t take out half of New York when it fell over. This pancaking effect is built into the building.

First to even determine if there is a 911 conspiracy, we must find what, if anything, is wrong with the official statement. This for ease of reading has been broken down into two segments/problems with official World Trade Center (WTC) story, and problems with official Pentagon story, which is on the next page.

WTC: Official Story Debunking

The first supposed problems with the official version of the events on September 11th comes before the planes even leave the airport. For the Arab terrorists to have carried out the attack, four of the 19 terrorists would have needed to be able to fly a two engine plane.

Yet none of the terrorists had a pilots licence, and one of the pilots Hani Hanjour, had gone for lessons, and had been deemed unsafe to fly even a one seat plane.

Marcel Bernard, the chief flight instructor at the airport, said the man named Hani Hanjour went into the air in a Cessna 172 with instructors from the airport three times beginning the second week of August and had hoped to rent a plane from the airport. … Instructors at the school told Bernard that after three times in the air, they still felt he was unable to fly solo … — The Prince George’s Journal (Maryland), 2001-09-18, as quoted in Operation 911: NO SUICIDE PILOTS

But there is a difference between being skilled enough to fly a plane professionally, and just being able to fly the thing in the right direction (no need to land etc…). A professional has to take into account airspace, landing, fueling up, airplane checks.

I myself could right now purchase an adventure day out where I could fly a plane for 30-60 minutes (depending on where you buy the day out from.) Admittedly I would be with a trained pilot all of the time, but after three times in the air I probably would be able to fly the plane. Not safely enough to get a licence, but well enough to get from the airport to the World Trade Center!

This is assuming that this was the only time the Arab terrorists had flown a plane.

But even if the entire 19 terrorists were crack pilots could they have realistically got hold of the planes in the first place on September 11th? The conspiracy theorists think not:

The official story expects us to believe that these alleged nineteen on-board hijackers (acting with military coordination and precision) overpowered the flight attendants (with nothing more than box cutters and shouted commands), forced their way into the cabin (were all eight official pilots absorbed in contemplation of the clouds?), overpowered the pilots (apparently none of them, some ex-military, could offer any resistance to hijackers armed only with box cutters), took command of the planes

This is not such an unbelievable story, since out of the list if people given there, only the eight pilots would have been of any real help in combating the terrorists. (Lets face it, flight attendants are not designed for hand to hand combat.) and even with Ex-military training, 8 Vs 19 is not a good number to have against you. Add to this good planning, and the weapon of surprise, there seems to be nothing wrong theoretically with this approach.
