The surface of the moon is constantly being bombarded with particles (sub atomic/x-ray/gamma ray/etc.) On earth our atmosphere shields us from the vast majority of these particles, but not all..Hence exposure causes sunburns and increase our risk of skin cancer..
NASA,and the Jet propulsion Laboratory have proven that a craft could harness the continuous flow of these particles (known as the solar wind.) Futuristic solar sails are fact, and prototype missions are scheduled for departure from the confines of earths’ gravitational pull will be demonstrated in 2011..This is basically a very simple concept where the “solar wind” will be captured in large sails that will unfurl shortly after the vehicle reaches orbit.. Thus enabling the vehicle to travel thru out our solar system and beyond.. So What Does This Have To Do With Our Beloved United States Space Race To The Moon?? Everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have grown extremely tired at the relentless attacks and misguided attempts to discredit NASA,and the Apollo Crew Members who left their indelible footprints, rover tire tracks, along with numerous scientific instruments behind.. One of those instruments is still used to this day to take precise measurements of the distance between the earth and moon..Ask the guys who fire a laser from the Griffith Observatory several times each month to continually monitor the precise distance of the moon from our earth.(((through this instrument/reflector deployed by Buzz Aldrin it has been determined that our moon is gradually moving away from earth at a rate of 1 and 3quareter inches per year))) Why Is It SO HARD FOR YOU PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF PHYSICS OR FLIGHT DYNAMICS TO ACCEPT THE TRUTH…I HAVE HEARD NOTHING HERE ON THIS SILLY WEBSITE THAT HAS ANY MERIT WHAT SO EVER!!!! The God damn FLAG DID NOT MOVE Until The Accent Engine Was Activated….. Even If It DID MOVE That in and of itself doesnt prove that the Landings of 6 separate Lunar Modules with 12 Astronauts whos names are for ever sealed in history did not occur…… LETS LOOK AT IT FROM YOUR HOAX POINT OF VIEW FOR ONE SECOND…. I cannot believe how so much misinformation is being circulated here… Everything from the flag waving to the crew reporting 15secs of fuel left as they touched down.. ((TRUE ,the lunar decent module’s navigational computer With its computing power of a CASIO wristwatch had erroneously placed the Eagle on a final landing trajectory that would have landed them into a house sized boulder..)) During this automated approach, Neal, took manual control away from the auto piloted system and flew “BEYOND” the initial landing site and had to locate a safe area to set the Eagle down..Houston and Buzz ALDRIN assisted Armstrong by updating fuel status for his benefit to quickly choose a site and land..Which he did with 15seconds of fuel left on board the decent module.((WHICH WAS THE LANDING ENGINE SECTION OF THE VEHICLE)) The upper crew quarters with its TWO windows Had A FULL TANK OF FUEL FOR THE DEPARTURE AND ACCENT TO ORBIT where they re-docked with the command module…… I have read some of the so called HOAX theories and its ridiculous!!! I was THERE!!! I lived through that time period… I AM DEEPLY SADDENED BY INDIVIDUALS WHO WOULD ATTEMPT TO TAKE THIS COUNTRIES FINEST HOUR AND QUESTION A CONSPIRACY TO DISCREDIT OUR GREATEST HOUR… RESEARCH YOUR FACTS…..
